The Pain Points
A CRM and website acting as two separate systems. The website had become increasingly difficult to navigate and didn’t have any integration with their CRM. This overcomplicated simple membership organisation functions and took up valuable time internally. They needed an integrated website and CRM solution that suited their needs as a Membership Organisation.
Sheffield Chamber of Commerce also had many ideas on how to increase membership value and bring the organisation to the forefront of digital capabilities.
Through a series of Discovery Workshops, we mapped out a membership solution which enabled the website and CRM to become a single harmonious system. We brought new ideas and ways of working to the table which would give the Chamber a strong foundation to achieve their vision of an integrated website, Member Portal and Membership management CRM system.
Working on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform, we added extra functions so that all membership registrations were stored in the CRM automatically, and payments could be managed quickly and easily. A GoCardless integration gave greater flexibility to the finance department and members alike.
Clean, user-friendly designs were presented to the team during the which enabled us to bring the project to life visually. We used these to create clear user journeys for each of their audience types; addressing their individual needs and creating simple pathways to information.

Members now have a central Hub where they have self-serve Member Portal and get more from their membership such as posting their own news, offers and tenders.
Prospective members have access to innovative and engaging ways to find suitable packages for their needs, such as the guided “Help me choose” quiz. The team have a streamlined integrated system to manage their members which frees their time to focus on providing quality service to their members.
This new integrated Membership solution is invaluable to the Chamber continuing to make Sheffield an even stronger beacon for business.
