To design and develop a secure Customer Trade Portal and eCommerce website, integrated into Microsoft NAV, for the supply of number plate kits and components.
Jepson & Co are the world's oldest number plate manufacturer and are committed to providing top quality support and service to their customers. They needed to update their online presence to increase their service offering and provide better value to their trade customers.
A multi-level Trade Portal was identified as being at the core of their new adventure. This required integration into their existing NAV system to surface customer details, pricing matrixes and stock control levels.
As well as the technical requirements, the Marketing team needed a flexible CMS which allowed them to manage marketing messages and promote their campaigns. User-friendly, intiutive designs were created which would give them the flexibility they needed without needing too much technical know-how.
Working directly with the Sales, Marketing and IT teams as well as their NAV provider, a detailed specification was drawn up.
Jepson’s customers now have a direct online ordering method and 24/7 availability on pricing for trade customers. The customer service team now no longer need to re-key customers’ orders and the whole process is smoother and simpler to use from both internal and external perspectives.
The website links directly into Microsoft NAVISION surfacing customer details and pricing matrixes, as well as an overall view of the status of their orders from processing to dispatch.
