The Challenge

The Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP) needed an integrated membership system to support growth and increase engagement online, while continuing to provide valuable resources for both healthcare professionals and parents.

Their existing processes made membership sign‑up, renewals and administration time‑consuming and placed unnecessary pressure on the committee. APCP also needed to increase revenue, offer flexible payment options, automate renewals and provide public visibility for members through an online directory; all while delivering a smooth, user‑friendly experience.

The Solution

We designed and delivered an integrated membership database, member portal and public directory, tightly connected to automate processes and simplify the user journey.

The solution focused on:

  • A streamlined member sign‑up and payment process

  • Flexible payment options, including card and Direct Debit with automatic renewals

  • A self‑service member portal for managing memberships, profiles and preferences

  • A public directory with advanced filtering and map‑based location search

  • Seamless integrations to reduce manual admin and improve data accuracy

Members can now easily manage, upgrade or update their profiles without contacting APCP, while parents and the public can quickly find the right paediatric physiotherapist for their needs.

The Outcome

APCP now benefits from a far more efficient and scalable membership system.

Administration has been significantly reduced, with members automatically added to the database on payment and given instant access to the portal. Communication preferences sync directly with email marketing tools, and renewals are handled automatically where Direct Debit is used.

The public member directory has given practitioners greater visibility, created opportunities for paid profile upgrades, and opened up new revenue streams to support ongoing research and funding.
