Microsoft Dynamics 365 or PowerApps? – Why do we use PowerApps instead of Dynamics 365 for Membership Organisations?
- Dynamics 365 for Marketing includes a complete multichannel solution but is heavily geared towards automation of the sales process which is too rigid for Membership Organisations in most cases
- A lot of functionality in Dynamics 365 is not used for Membership solutions, e.g. Leads and Opportunities
- The email marketing tools included in MailChimp are easier to use and slicker than those included in Dynamics 365
- Licensing costs for Dynamics is significantly higher than the costs of PowerApps
The main downside with PowerApps is the lack of multi-channel marketing tools but the ease of use and flexibility of the PowerApps/MailChimp combination we feel, more than makes up for it.
