WRG is a major waste management company, which provides a range of cost and environmental processing, recycling, disposal and energy recovery services for local authority and private commercial customers across England, Scotland and Wales.

Requirement:

re3 is a unique and exciting waste management partnership between Bracknell Forest Borough Council, Reading Borough Council and Wokingham District Council. They are working with Waste Recycling Group (WRG) on the project which required a state of the art public facing website which;

• Provided a public interface
• Information source about projects and campaigns
• Share documents with the councils
• Operate a Content Management System

Solution:

WRG were familiar and confident of the work provided by Arkom, having worked with them in the past. It was this level of excellence and commitment that they wanted with the re³ project.

The site would be stylish in design with an easy to navigate layout. As the site would primarily be used by the general public it had to clearly state what each particular section contained and where this information could be found.

It was important that the site contained the facility to leave feedback from the public — both positive and negative. Any concerns or queries that people had could be fed back into the system and clearly dealt with.

A Content Management System is important so that re3 can let members of the public know about projects, waste management sites and changes as they happen. The facility allows WRG to take complete control over the content and be updated at time sensitive times.
