Solution

Arkom revamped their existing site to produce a strikingly visual website design, by using black as the main background colour all visual impact of all Contract Kitchens’ products was immediately enhanced. The end product has the same effect as a glossy printed brochure, but without the administration and postage costs, and of course no repeated expenditure for re-prints.

The home page demonstrates Contract Kitchens’ service from ‘concept to completion’ with a simple but effective ‘Flash’ animation. This also helps to hook in the user’s attention, in turn keeping them on the site for longer to view the full range of products in the ‘image gallery’ function. This simple but highly effective feature displays any image content added by Contract Kitchens through their CMS at a maximum size. Due to the ‘overlay’ of this function the user is always kept on the same page so will never lose their way on the website. 

A Custom Content Management System would allow the client to keep their site content up to date with new kitchen designs. As with all of Arkom’s websites, measures were implemented to ensure all new copy and imagery followed the same style and format as the rest of the site.

Basic Search Engine Optimisation techniques are also employed to boost the sites standing in major search engines. In addition Arkom also passed on tips to ensure future copy is also viewed favourably by search engines.
