Darron-SBO got their first Arkom website in 2006 and after 5 years good service needed to re-skin the site to bring it up to current web standards and also mirror the paper marketing collateral they had produced.
Requirements
The design brief was extremely accurate as the site had to present the company and it’s services in the same way the glossy brochures did. This helped the team produce a re-skin concept that met the need of the client.
It was also of vital importance to give the user clear navigation to the 3 distict areas that Darron operated in. The current website didn’t do this and increased the number of clicks a user had to make to get to their desired location.
The website also had to offer the sales team the ability to access marketing material wherever they were in the world
Solution
We simplified the navigation throughout the site and based the content on the hard copy marketing material. By adding clear call to actions on the homepage users can now access the information they want in a couple of clicks.
Due to the CMS being improved year upon year the version in the re-skin had many more features than the 2006 version. This meant that we could meet Darron-SBOs requirements by allowing them to admin changes to their copy, images, downloads and banner images themselves.
