B Braun are an existing client of Arkom's and approached us to fulfil the need of their emerald prescription service website.

Requirements

Emerald had very clear brand guidelines that strongly led the design of the site, it was crucial to both Emerald and B Braun that we understood this and followed the guidelines exactly.

The ability to order the range of products online was a massive step forward for Emerald and it was challenging to ensure all products were available and yet ensure the site was simple for people of all abilities to use.

Finally there was a definite need to have the site live by a specific date which was crucial from the client's perspective

Solution

By having a dedicated graphic designer assigned to the project we were able to ensure that the technical solution was built around the guidelines we had to adhere to. This may limit creativity but also helps the team as such a strong brief makes it easier to deliver what the client actually wants. Once the 'concept' and site framework had been agreed we could build the site in the knowledge that it would be correct.

The timeframe was tight but by breaking down the stages and making clear deadlines we were able to manage the project succesfully. This included managing the client's time and expectations and the delivery of the web project on time was also due to a great quality of client input and a dedication to do this to the agreed deadline.
